Scripture Reading: Ephesians 4:7-13
To each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.
Ephesians 4:7
Pastors have the privilege of talking with people heart-to-heart about joys and concerns in their lives. The most common concern I have heard is about struggles with doubt. Some believers have difficulty accepting that God knows or cares about them. Some fear that their faith is too weak. Others believe they are not worthy of God’s concern because of their sin and unbelief.
The words of Paul are good news for all who struggle with doubt: “To each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it”—to each one, according to need and circumstance, at Christ’s initiative. Grace is sufficient to meet every person’s need and circumstance. To each one—no exceptions—sufficient grace is given to cover the multitude of our wrongdoings. No wonder “Amazing grace—how sweet the sound” is an all-time favorite song around the world!
Perhaps you are struggling, doubting, wondering. Maybe you have asked whether the grace of God can be sufficient for you. Do you wonder, down deep, whether you are good enough to deserve God’s favor?
The fact is, none of us is good enough. If receiving grace depended on our being good, then it would cease to be grace and instead would be God’s reward for good behavior. And all of us would fail. “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” (2 Corinthians 9:15).
Prayer
Thank you, God, for the gift of grace and for accepting us as we are. We want to believe and accept that your gift of grace is sufficient for us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

God’s gift to us is his grace that he gives to us all freely. Our gift to God is our obedience to his word.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Phil 4:13)
Ask yourself, what has God put forth in my life for me to do? Whatever it is, go boldly forth doing the will of God and praising Him in all that you do. Let God handle all your affairs today, tomorrow, always.
Amen.
Thank you Brother William Rutland for reminding me that I am more than a Conqeror through Jesus Christ
Through obedience to God’s word is right. I can do all things trough Christ which sttrengtheneth me.
I do believe the word of God. I just don’t know where to start at with $900.00. behind in rent. Not enough food to feed 2 growing boys who love the Lord too. My church family haven’t the mean to help us by 8-20th 2009. I refuse to give up hope in God to help us public assistance can not be of anymore help. I don’t know where else to turn. God knows that this is one of my cares to not be evicted from my home during the coming of new school year. I fast and pray that my landlord will be more patient with me untill I find another job. Only God knows how I need it unemplyment has ran out and my funds are down to 0 untill I find another house to clean that will only pay for food not rent. So pray with me for increase in our life for funds and employment.
