Scripture Reading: Ephesians 4:11-13

Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers …
Ephesians 4:11

God cares for the well-being of the church.

Christ himself made provision for the building up of its members by equipping various individuals with the gifts needed to achieve that goal. Everything needed in the church is covered by this provision. The function that each person fulfills will vary, but within that diversity of functions is a unity of purpose: “to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”

Sometimes we tend to give credit to individuals for their leadership in the church—and we forget the Giver of those leadership skills. It’s good to be reminded that it is “Christ himself” who does the equipping. It is appropriate for us to be diligent in humility about the gifts that are given us.

The gifts we receive are not merely for personal enhancement. The one purpose of all the gifts Christ gives is to benefit others so that they are empowered to render “works of service”—“that the body of Christ may be built up.”

The church as an institution serves a variety of social and relational functions, but the most important of these is that the membership of the church be strengthened so that the mission of God in the world can be more effectively carried out.

Prayer

We are grateful to you, O Christ, for making provisions for the needs of your people. May we be found faithful in using the gifts received for the purposes you intend. Amen.

Each of us has a calling in life. God has set before us a planned journey. We like the Isrealites will sometimes go contrary to God. We ask forgiveness for our transgressions; And God the mercifull, gracious, compassionate Father forgives our sins.
We each have gifts that God has given us and wants us to use as he has prescribed. When we use our God given talents and gifts we empower others to do deeds of service that builds up the body of Christ. Let go and Let God do for you today and everyday his will in your life.  Be steadfast and determined to carryout God’s plan in your life.  Amen.

I am confident that God’s gift within me will be successfull because God operates them when He see need to work’em . We as Christian’s at times get caught-up in our personal lives that we forget to allow the Holy Spirit to LEAD, DIRECT, AND NAVAGATE us during the course of a day, week, or even a month.  We think sometimes that and I quote; “I GOT THIS DOWN TO A SIENCE”.  Serving God as a bondservant becomes routine and we get caught-up with that rather than letting God do what He does best; BE IN CONTROL of that which He created in the first place. Sure Phil:4:13 is very true. We just at times forget the “THROUGH CHRIST” part get big headed. We think we are god’s about our gifts and we tend to get espress favortism that entertain with our gifts and look for a crown from others around us for use of our gifts.  Chrurch today praise and worship the people who are bondservants for God, rather than God who gave the bondservant the gift to use for His Glory. JESUS IS LORDofLORDS! not man!
